Another few days, another new section.

In my effort to bring the peaceful things back to life, hobbies
that don't really have much stress and activities that don't
take much thought, birding made a return.

I got this birdhouse as a gift, it's calld a Bird Buddy and it's
a "smart bird feeder". So far it's a dumb bird feeder, the smart
part (a module that holds a camera and stuff) was DOA but the
company is sending me a replacement. Hopefully it's cool?
It should be pretty funny getting up-close pictures of tiny
dudes chowing down on some seeds.

I figure I may as well upload some of the pics so that's what
the "Birds" section will be for. It would be pretty cool if I
could get just about everything that eBird says is in my area
up on there over the next while so I guess that's the eventual
goal.

Another activity that made a return is writing tabletop games.

I always hated playing in tabletop RPGs, it's not really for me,
but for whatever reason I really love running the things. The
last game I ran was I think in 2020, four years later I'd like
to at least have something ready for the next time I can find a
group to run something for.

I've always been a fan of how Cyberpunk 2013 runs, janky but
quite zippy with a bit of trimming and streamlining, so I'll be
doing my usual cutting it up (the system and the setting) to
make something neat.

I never really like running the old books any more so I'll be
doing the same thing I did last time, picking a point in their
timeline (1999 this time around) and then setting up stuff where
the players can possibly alter official events and create a
world somewhat of their own.

"Game 0" is shaping up to be the players acting as a team of
scientists (geologists) working for SovOil venturing into the
irradiated, arctic wasteland of Novaya Zemlya. Their stated goal
will be that the corporation wants the land scouted for new
wells to drill. The disdain of the state over the corporation
recently breaking off of the government, the growing "threat"
of Y2K, the anger of the communist hard-liners and ex-KGB who
want to destroy the Neo-Soviet state, and nature itself may try
to have something to say about that job.

I think it should be fun. There will eventually be a whole
section on here, it's all WIP at the moment, which is kinda a
sourcebook and setting primer for whoever eventually becomes a
player in the game.

I got a bit of computer work done, my Wang WP20 had its 2708
dumped out successfully which is pretty cool. I'll get that
uploaded somewhere soon enough.

No KiCad progress was made, I complained in the last one of
these because I was making "jumbled spaghetti" and I feel that
I've done nothing but the same still. It's work on a silly idea
meant to annoy my friend Coal, a 68000 with a whole 2K of ROM
and 1K of RAM, and I'm starting to debate if it's even worth
trying to continue things this way or just go to where I'm
familiar (wire wrap spaghetti).
