A few days later, a few new things!

I decided I'd put more sections up so I could write about more
stuff. Airsoft is back, I'll better-track the projects I pick
up and write personal AARs for events I go to. Games is there,
I don't actually have anything on it at the moment but things I
enjoy or repairs should get some writing. There's also the basic
About Me again.

Yet more developments when it comes to the airsoft stuff, I do
have a leadership position for Snowblind! Is that good? I dunno,
I hope it's good.

So far I'm mostly grouped with guys I know, someone new who
seems quite cool is there too, so I'm pretty confident that it's
going to just be a good time.

My parts to fix up the RPK-74M finally arrive today, like six
days of delay later, so thank you NW PA weather! Just kidding,
I don't like it very much.

Having a Famicom on my desk again has been quite the fun thing,
I always forget how much enjoyment these little systems can
bring in such a tiny footprint.

A while back, I had the amazing idea that I should figure out
an amount of homebrew development. I picked up my 6502 stuff, I
followed some tutorials, I made a dead-simple "Hello World" cart
of sorts, and then I didn't go on from there. Right now I'm
sitting around at work doing a whole load of nothing, it's that
time of year when half the shop is dead because contracts are
being re-negotiated so most companies are only submitting enough
orders to keep themselves running, so maybe it would be a good
idea to get back to learning? I dunno. I have some ideas that
could work I guess...

I also just want more cartridges. They're small, they're pretty
cheap, and they're fun. Should I just get a flashcart? Maybe.
Will I? eh. I've gotta keep that ZenMarket credit somehow,
right?

On the idea of writing, tabletop writing pivoted. I realized
that my last setting, while fun to myself and the few others I
pitched it to, was just too vast a start. Giving players an
island three times the size of iceland with only a hundredth the
(known) population just wasn't going to be fun. I need the plot
to kick off in a faster manner leading up to the eventual stuff
like megadungeons, not doing the arctic exploration leading to
said megadungeons first.

I rolled the timeline back a year, 1998 is the new start, and
while still in the arctic desert the new space should be a lot
more fun.

I'm currently working on mapping in a sense, I wanted to write
a "mission brief" and I thought having some satellite imagery
with drawings laid over the top could be a cool add-in. One
account registered with the USGS later and I have some spy pics
from '64. Ever see 1.14GB image files? I sure haven't but it
also sure is cool.
